Salford Red Devils have linked up with Betfred League One team Oldham RLFC for the 2018 season as official dual-registration partners.

The dual-registration system refers to an arrangement between clubs whereby a player continues to be registered to his current club and is also registered to play for a club in a lower league.

Oldham RLFC are looking to earn promotion back into the Betfred Championship at the first time of asking after suffering relegation last season. One of the founding members of the Northern Rugby Football Union, Oldham have a rich history including four Championship titles and three Challenge Cup triumphs.

The Roughyeds recently moved back to Whitebank – now known as the Vestacare Stadium – following a two-year stint at Bower Fold. Oldham are currently led by former Red Devil Scott Naylor.

Salford Red Devils Levy Nzoungou, Gavin Bennion, Ryan Lannon and Daniel Murray have all featured for Oldham so far in 2018.
